Due to unforeseen circumstances one of our cast has had a health emergency, He’s on the mend, and will be okay, but that means we’re down a Schultz this weekend. We have canceled our August 17-19 dates and added two new shows for August 27th to accommodate guests who have purchased tickets for Aug. 17-19 and anyone else who weren’t able to attend our other dates. Theatre Thirty3 is so proud to be offering Annie Baker’s play Circle Mirror Transformation as our next production.

Obie Award Winner for Best New American Play. “Absorbing, unblinking and sharply funny”, NY Times. “inward looking play about inward looking people”…Annie Baker’s play is a self-reflective love letter to the process of theatre.

Annie’s play puts us in the middle of that world. Over a 6 week acting class, 5 souls move through a series of acting exercises ranging from heartbreaking to ridiculous. They search, connect, explore, examine, and push themselves to step out of the comfort zone and enter the dangerous world of “truth.” Circle Mirror Transformation takes these characters - and the audience - on a transcendent journey through the simple, into the profound.

Like in our name, 33% of this current production will be donated to Michigan Parkinson Foundation to help continue their efforts to support those who fight Parkinson's disease everyday, including the director of this play.
